| Hello, my name is Cailyn Beniot. Yeah, I know that is a mouthful. It is pronounced Kay-lin Ben-wah. Quite a moniker I know! I am a mystery writer, not a romance writer, although I have been known to mix business with pleasure. I am in the process of writing a mystery spy thriller for T.K. Waltz Publications. As you can tell from the Comming Soon Page it is called "Scions." The word Scions means a shoot or descendant. The main character is Rebecca Ross. For those of you who read the book by Andru Hunter, "The Southern Plainsman," you may know the jig is up with that name. Yes, she is the great, great, great, great granddaughter of T.K. Ross. I have to admit, when Andru approached me with this proposal, I was a bit skeptical. But when I realized the scope of Andru trying to do a series of novels about one family, culminating in the present day with Rebecca, the last in the family line, I became fascinated. I did research into Andru's character, T.K. Ross and thus evolved a tough woman (Rebecca) in his likiness. Rebecca Ross is a CIA agent who fights her way out of Falluja Iraq, Upon returning to her home in Washington D.C. she finds her husband ( from whom she has been seperated) has been murdered. She takes in her 14 year old stepdaughter and goes on a mission to find the killer. The search takes her to Baltimore and the drug scene, She meets along the way, and falls for, a Radical Priest from Ireland. He becomes much more than a friend. The "ins" and "outs" of this "Who done it" until the very last page will keep you in suspense. The danger and her "outs" will amaze you. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed writing it. The plan for the future is to write a series of novels revolving around Rebecca. They will be murder mysteries, with lots of modern day twists and turns and some CSI thrown in. E-Mail me anytime at caylinbeniot@yahoo.com. hugs and kisses Cailyn |
